Japan adds to its Russia sanctions

Japan has imposed further sanctions on Russia (press release) after hosting the G7 summit last week, in which the group agreed to step up measures against Moscow (previous post). Japan will freeze the assets of 78 companies and 17 individuals, including army officers (notice, notice), and ban exports to 80 Russian entities, such as military-affiliated research labs (notice).
