International coordination meeting on Burma/Myanmar sanctions

On Wednesday 24 May, sanctions coordinators for the UK, US, and EU (EEAS) met to continue to assess and align ongoing efforts related to sanctions in Burma/Myanmar (UK press release, US press release).

The partners discussed ongoing coordination efforts, and the importance of continued information and target sharing to support sanctions packages.

Significant sanctions have been in place against Burma/Myanmar since the military coup in February 2021 (Sanctions Profile: Burma/Myanmar).
