Australia introduces Russia luxury goods export ban

On 4 April 2022 Australia adopted Autonomous Sanctions (Export Sanctioned Goods—Russia) Amendment (No. 1) Designation 2022 which imposed a ban on exports of high-end luxury goods to Russia, in line with similar actions taken by the UK and G7 countries (see post & post, post & post). The ban lists 27 items, including among others jewellery, luxury vehicles, tobacco products and wine. Notice.
