EU to impose Myanmar sanctions next week

The French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, has confirmed in a Senate hearing that on 22 March 2021 at the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council, the EU will approve its first round of sanctions against officials responsible for the military coup in Myanmar, and their economic interests.
