US renews Global Magnitsky sanctions for 1 year

In December 2017, the US adopted Executive Order 13818, which declared a national emergency in respect of serious human rights abuses and corruption around the world, and provided for sanctions to be imposed against those determined to be involved in such conduct. The Trump administration has renewed those sanctions for 1 year by continuing the national emergency as declared. White House statement.
