EU renews sanctions on Turkey’s drilling activities in Eastern Med

The EU has renewed for 1 year until 12 November 2021 its sanctions regime targeting Turkey’s unauthorised drilling activities related to hydrocarbon exploration and production in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. 2 Turkish nationals are currently subject to asset freezing measures and a travel ban under the regime (see post).
