The US has removed Yemane Ghebreab from its Somalia sanctions list. Mr Ghebreab is the Eritrean Head of Political Affairs for the People’s Front for Democracy and Justice party and a Presidential Advisor. He was originally listed because, in his advisory role, he was allegedly involved in planning shipments of weapons and supporting militia groups in Somalia (guidance here).
