UAE issues updated export control list

The UAE Committee for Goods and Materials Subject to Import and Export Control has updated its list of goods and equipment subject to controls. See Cabinet Resolution 50 of 2020, which amends the Annex to Federal Law no. 13 for 2007.

Export controls have been placed on a number of dual-use goods, equipment and technologies relating to nuclear materials, sensors, avionics, navigation systems, and telecommunication systems, as agreed under the multilateral regimes developed by the Australia Group, the Wassenaar Arrangement, the Missile Technology Control Scheme, the Nuclear Suppliers Group, and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. “National controlled commodities” (Category 11) include military and riot control vehicles, unmanned conversion kits, and marine systems.
