OFAC issues GE licence to supply Chinese plane engines

General Electric has been granted a licence from the US Treasury Department to supply jet engines for Chinese state-owned company Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC)’s new passenger jet, the C919. The engines are made by CFM International, which is co-owned by GE and French company Safran Aircraft Engines.
