US State Dept lists new ISIS leader

The US State Dept has designated Amir Muhammad Sa’id Abdal-Rahman al-Mawla, said to be the new leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) under Executive Order 13224 (as amended). His aliases are: Hajji Abdallah, ‘Abdul Amir Muhammad Sa’id Salbi, and Abu-‘Umar al-Turkmani. Press release.
