States halt exports of medical protective items

As a pre-emptive measure against the spread of the coronavirus, states including Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Russia and China have restricted the export of medical protective items such as masks, gloves, gowns and goggles under domestic export control powers. As a result, those wishing to export such items require licences from the relevant authorities.
