France releases Iranian engineer accused of violating US sanctions

France has released from custody an Iranian engineer Jalal Rohollahnejad as part of a prisoner swap with Iran. Mr Rohollahnejad was the subject of a US extradition request over allegations that he exported equipment (high-power industrial microwave systems) which could be used for military purposes to Iran in violation of US sanctions.
