US extends Libya sanctions for 1 year

In 2011, the US adopted Executive Order 13566, which declared a national emergency in respect of Libya. President Trump is extending these sanctions for 1 year by continuing the national emergency as declared, as “measures are needed to protect against the diversion of assets or other abuses” by the Qadhafi family, their associates, and other persons “hindering Libyan national reconciliation”. …
