Red Cross seeks UN sanctions exemptions for N Korea coronavirus efforts

The International Federation of the Red Cross has requested an urgent exemption from North Korea sanctions to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the country. An exemption from UN sanctions allowing for a bank transfer to their North Korea office to purchase personal protective gear and testing kits has been requested.
