Australia launches inquiry into human rights sanctions regime

Australia’s Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade has announced the launch of a parliamentary inquiry into whether Australia should enact legislation which would impose sanctions on individuals who commit gross human rights abuses.
