OFAC designates 2 South Sudanese businessmen & 6 companies under Global Magnitsky Act

Last week (11 October), OFAC designated 2 people, Ashraf Seed Ahmed Al-Cardinal and Kur Ajing Ater, pursuant to the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act (E.O. 13818) on the basis of their involvement in corruption in South Sudan. 5 companies determined to be owned/controlled by Mr Al-Cardinal, and 1 company owned/controlled Mr Ajing were also designated.
