US extends sanctions on transnational criminal organisations

The US has extended the national emergency as declared in Executive Order (E.O.) 13581, amended by E.O. 13863, to continue sanctions (asset freezing measures) with respect to transnational criminal organisations for 1 year. The sanctions target “increasingly sophisticated” organisations that “have reached such scope and gravity that they threaten the stability of international political and economic systems”.
