3rd countries align with EU sanctions on Belarus and ISIL and Al-Qaeda

 In February 2019, the EU adopted:

·        Council Decision (CFSP) 2019/325 which extended EU sanctions against Belarus for 1 year until 28 February 2019, and comprised an arms embargo, asset freezing measures and travel ban against 4 individuals (see previous post); and

·        Council Decision (CFSP) 2019/271 which added one individual to its ISIL and Al-Qaeda sanctions list (see previous post).

The following countries have aligned themselves with the EU Belarus Decision: Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. See EU Announcement.
