EU and UN add Osama bin Laden’s son to ISIL & A-Q sanctions list

On 28 February, the UN Security Council added Hamza Usama Muhammad bin Laden, son of Osama bin Laden (deceased), to its ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida sanctions list. As a result, he is now subject to a UN asset freeze, travel ban and arms embargo. See UN Press Release and Summary of Reasons for Listing.
