EU renews Belarus sanctions for 1 year

Today (26 February), the EU prolonged its Belarus sanctions for 1 year, until 28 February 2020. The measures consist of an arms embargo and targeted asset freezes and travel bans against 4 people designated in connection with the “unresolved disappearances of two opposition politicians, one businessman and one journalist in 1999 and in 2000”.
