EU High Representative urges new sanctions on North Korea

The EU’s High Representative Federica Mogherini has urged Member States to impose new sanctions on North Korea in the wake of its largest nuclear test to date. Speaking to reporters, Mogherini proposed increasing “the economic pressure on North Korea, supporting a new UN Security Council resolution adopting tougher economic measures, starting new autonomous EU sanctions…and working with other partners in the world”.
