US renews sanctions on North Korea

President Obama has renewed US sanctions on North Korea for another year. In his message to Congress he said “the actions and policies of the government of North Korea that destabilise the Korean Peninsula… including its pursuit of nuclear and missile programs… continue to constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat”.
