EU lifts travel ban on Belarus foreign minister

On 25 June 2013, the European Council issued Decision 2013/308/CFSP lifting a travel ban previously imposed on Uladzimir Uladzimiravich Makei, the Belarus Foreign Minister. EU sanctions have been imposed on Makei for his role, as then Head of the President’s Administration, in the alleged repression of peaceful protestors in December 2010 and in organising fraudulent elections in 2008 and 2010…....
