EU renews Lebanon sanctions framework for 12 months

The EU has renewed its Lebanon sanctions framework for 12 months until 31 July 2023. Council Decision (CFSP) 2022/1314 & Press Release. The framework was adopted in July 2021 and provides for sanctions on people and entities “responsible for undermining democracy or the rule of law in Lebanon” (previous post). No designations have been made under the authority.
