UNSC & EU delists 9 entities from Iraq sanctions

The UNSC has approved the removal of 9 entities from its Iraq sanctions lists pursuant to Resolution 1518 (2003).  The 9 entities: General Establishment for Tharthar Project, Iraqi Broadcasting and Television Establishment, Iraqi News Agency, Ministry of Youth, State Enterprise for Irrigation Projects, State Establishment of Haditha Dam, State Establishment of Mosul Dam, and State Establishment of Small Dams and Regulators. See UN Press Release. As a result, they will no longer be subject to asset freezing measures.

The EU implemented these sanctions de-listings today (10 April) under Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/567.
